Friday Favourites

I last couple of weeks I was busy with moving from north to south London and analysing fashion weeks shows so I skipped this column. In that time I’ve visited and founded so many great things so here we go

Favourite Afternoon Tea

Fortnum and Mason

This was my first afternoon tea since I came to England and it was absolutely amazing! Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon is on the 4th floor of department store.Decor is gorgeous, everything is in green, mint colour and there is even piano in the waiting area. You can choose from three types of afternoon tea and we chose High Tea which comes with appetiser but not finger sandwiches and of course scones and cakes. You teapot is being refilled or you can just switch to a different one.

Favourites from NYFW Fall/Winter 2015

Tommy Hilfiger

As always Tommy presented his new collection on totally different runaway. This time he found inspiration in American football so he transformed runaway into football stadium .Models walked in recognisable preppy style outfits this time with dash of 70s and athletic stripes which gave sporty detail to almost every outfit. Even though I liked almost everything in his 50-piece collection ,the piece I liked the most were football-lace boots

Oscar de la Renta

Peter Copping runaway debute for Oscar de la Renta is moment that everyone were expecting. He promised there will be similarities to de la Renta( feminine, ladylike silhouettes  and flowers) but 70s,fringed coats and cocktail dresses was all him.We could see lots of mismatched tweed and nice little black dresses. In the first part of the show were more casual looks but of course, last part was the most amazing. Stunning gowns were showing up on runaway one more beautiful than previous.Nice tribute to passed away designer

Colour pallet is monochromatic, black and white with just one pop of coral. I like big gold buttons, knee high socks and A-line mini dresses

Diane von Furstenberg

Diane best know for her iconic wrap dress once again didn’t disappoint her fans. We could see feminine wrap dresses and suits, lots of lace, polka dots and belts to highlight feminine figure. Even though this is collection for fall and winter I like the fact that she was using flowers on some models .Colours are mostly black, white and red with couple of models in cobalt blue

Christian Siriano

No matter what time of the year it is Christian Siriano has a lot of colour and print in his collection. This time he chose animal print so we could see models in tiger cashmere  and zebra crepe. For evening he went with traditional ball gown. The big success were pieces decorated with black and white ostrich feathers

Favourite Brunch Place

Even though I was walking past this shop every week since I’ve moved in London(because it’s just in the middle of Leicester Square) last week was the first time I actually went inside. And it wasn’t the one on Leicester Square but the newest one in Soho. And I was amazed. Everything is so cute and quirky with some double siting swings.Everything is so girly inside and my friend and I were enjoying the atmosphere.Food is inspired by our mothers and grandmother’s cooking and menu is changing every month. They have cakes, breakfast, brunch and dinner and take away food too…I had blueberry pancakes and they were delicious

Fringe

Spring2015-Fringe-NTL

Since the ’70s are back, fringe is back too. They put fringe on everything. If you want to add a little bit of folk and hippy style you can combine fringe with pieces you already have.Even if you are not a fan of this trend  bracelets, bags and shoes with fringe will perfectly complete your spring combination. On the other hand if you want to get complete hippy look pair it with printed T shirts and denim.

But accessories are not only thing with fringe. You can find fringe on jumpers, sweatshirts, skirts, jackets…One of the best fringe pieces are fringe dresses with which  you can’t go wrong when it comes nights out

Last autumn I bought fringe bag from H&M and it’s my favourite. For new season they have the same bag in different colour brown, grey and white

Beanies

I wasn’t really fan of any sort of hats since this year and beanies. This lovely hats take me back to my childhood. I was surprised from how many shapes and colours I can choose.I prefer red or burgundy one with pompom but if you are brave enough you can choose colourful beanies with writings, paroles, two pompoms, ears or like Chiara Ferragni with vail  🙂

Favourite Obsession

Currently I’m obsessed with candles and candle holders and I must say that’s expensive hobby to have. Prices in some cases are so high that you can buy the whole outfit in H&M from top to toe. Surprisingly I’ve found very good candles in Sainsbury’s.Supermarket it’s not usually a place where I would go and find stuff for home decor but this ones are good.Especially Wild Cotton scent in a jar for only £6

But when you want to buy beautiful and nice candles and candle holders only thing you need to do is visit Zara Home. Every single thing there is just amazing. Because I’m a fan of herbal scents I felt like I’m in heaven.they have big range of products in green herbs scent, from candles, air freshener, body lotion, soaps…
