NYFW is finished! All the madness have move to London. I was watching all the shows online and I chose my favourites
As always Tommy presented his new collection on totally different runaway. This time he found inspiration in American football so he transformed runaway into football stadium .Models walked in recognisable preppy style outfits this time with dash of 70s and athletic stripes which gave sporty detail to almost every outfit. Even though I liked almost everything in his 50-piece collection ,the piece I liked the most were football-lace boots
Zac Posen Zac prepared us another amazing collection showing us dresses in all forms, primarily for night out and seduction. However this time we could see something else, unusual for Posen, pieces more suitable for business occasions. He only did one ball gown which was worn by Naomi Campbell and looked stunning
Reem Acra Show was fantasy of beads ,tulles, lace and embroideries.Designer was inspired by victorian vintage clothing. But lineup was composed of short dresses mainly with long sleeves ,high necks and bejewelling.
Her whole collection was inspired by Spanish artists like Velázquez, Goya…Collection was mainly velvet, lace and sequins in every size like we already expected but this time with fall colours like deep blue and orange .
Oscar de la Renta
Peter Copping runaway debute for Oscar de la Renta is moment that everyone were expecting. He promised there will be similarities to de la Renta( feminine, ladylike silhouettes and flowers) but 70s,fringed coats and cocktail dresses was all him.We could see lots of mismatched tweed and nice little black dresses. In the first part of the show were more casual looks but of course, last part was the most amazing. Stunning gowns were showing up on runaway one more beautiful than previous.Nice tribute to passed away designer
Designer showed us why we love fall and winter-layers. Collection is all about outwear-statement coats, stoles, sleeveless jackets and muffs.Colours were classic camel, mustard, khaki green, brown, burgundy, navy, petrol blue and black. And of course every outfit is complete with amazing leather handbags
Rachel’s collection for Fall/Winter is something different. We saw on this Fashion Week many designers that were inspired by 70s and boho style but she turned her back to that and showed as collection completely inspired by 60s and Twiggy. Colour pallet is monochromatic, black and white with just one pop of coral. I like big gold buttons, knee high socks and A-line mini dresses
Designer celebrated his 10th year showing in NYC with this colourful collection.I especially like dresses with gold details
Francisco Costa, brand women’s creative director showed us lots of leather. Colours were mainly black and chocolate with pops in burgundy, white and terracotta . Designer said that his inspiration was rock star Lou Reed and he kept 70s theme with patchwork leather coats and jackets
