Usually I recommend good place to eat here but even though Las Iguanas at Kingston has delicious food and amazing offer before 7pm-2 for 1 cocktails , after we tried churros we forgot about everything before that! Month ago we were in Barcelona so I was thinking those must have been the best churros,we are in Spain,no?
Well,we were wrong. If you order churros in Las Iguanas, chain of Latin American food you will get them served not just with chocolate but also with dulce de leche(sweetened milk slowly heated until changes colour and flavour.
If you didn’t try this amazing dessert you should

I got this book just because over 2000 good reviews on Amazon . It’s about Maud, an aging grandmother, who slowly losing her memory. Yet she refuses to forget her best friend Elizabeth, whom she is convinced is missing and in terrible danger.Book it’s already in my bag ready to depart 🙂
While I’m writing this I’m wearing jumper and I’ m under my blanket, enjoying London summer with pouring rain, floods everywhere and only 13 degrees 😦
So it’s not surprising that I’m spending Friday night dreaming about some beautiful warm places like Le Parc Ik Kil,natural swimming pool in Yucatan,Mexico. The water temperature is 27 degrees so 14 more than London air temperature.Sigh…If you ever go there yo can stop by,it’s open for swimming and often included in bus tours
Kingston is that part of London that isn’t really London but it’s is because it’s apparently Zone 6…Never mind,it’s still great. It has river walks with amazing views, Ancient Market which is there for last 800 years, lots of shops and restaurants and…this unique phone boots.
Coffee is quite possibly my favourite food. Is coffee a food? Yeah, I think so.If you are coffee addict like me you probably can’t imagine a day without at least one morning cup of coffee. Once the weather turns hot and humid, my coffee turns ice cold. I still start the day with one cup of hot coffee, but after that, it’s cold.
Coffee and dessert in one,it can’t get any better right?
It’s very easy to make ice coffee at home with only few ingredients
Coconut Iced coffee
For this one you will need time because for the best result you will need sweetened condensed coconut milk which you need to simmer with sugar over the fire around one hour or until liquid is reduced by half. When it’s done add vanilla extract.
Separate make ice coffee cubes. So just put coffee into ice trays and froze it.When it’s all done, put the cubes into milk and decorate however you like.
Chocolate Ice Coffee
If you are chocolate addict the good trick will be to add frozen chocolate cubes into your coffee instead regular ice. Simple put chocolate milk into ice tray and when it’s frozen put it in your coffee
Vanilla instead of Ice
You will need 2 cups of milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar ,2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract .
In a small saucepan, combine milk, sugar and vanilla extract over low heat. Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat. Pour milk mixture into ice cube molds and place in freezer until frozen.
Place 3-4 frozen Vanilla cubes into a mug and pour hot brewed coffee over them. Add a few more once the first batch melts, if desired.
Being a fashion blogger in London is truly one of the best things that I have ever done. The city of London is one of the most diverse and cultural places that I have ever lived, from the museums and art galleries to the varied night life in Central London, right the way down to the cultural pockets that exist of communities in various parts of the city, ranging from the subcontinental Asians from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh in East London, to the vibrancy and colourfulness of China town, however i’ve also noticed…..
London has a massive problem!
People don’t seem to want to talk to each other in London! and when you do attempt to talk to someone, a complete stranger in London, you get looked at like a complete weirdo! 😦 Having lived in Croatia all my life up until a couple of years ago, and having recently gone on a trip to Barcelona, I realised how much of a London problem this was, when I was able to talk to the local people in Barcelona, and have an open and free conversation with them about how they found the city, and what they liked and disliked about it, and, you know, just talk about life in general really. I thought all hope was lost, until one day.
Something amazing happened:
I was on the last train home and was on the train to go home, sitting on a seat in the carriage, I was minding my own business when a young(ish) couple came and sat down opposite me, they were holding hands, and we exchanged glances, I had nothing else to do and my phone had run out of battery so I took one attempt to speak to this couple, but I thought, let me sound like a complete weirdo, and say “You guys look very much in Love, are you?”
The response could have been from a Hollywood writer, nothing would have prepared me for their love story….
They looked like a regular couple, but the first thing that the guy (Michael) showed me was a necklace that he wore with the name Rob on it, I looked at him completely puzzled. The girl, Helen then spoke, she said “Rob was my brother, we grew up together in the North of England and did everything together, learning to ride bikes, going to school, drinking in university, we were completely inseparable” she continued, “After my parents divorced, I moved to London, and Rob who was living with my mum at the time called me and asked if he could move in with me, and I told him to come!”.
This love story was really confusing I thought, till I heard some tragic news:
Helen explained, 6 years ago Rob passed away, after a tragic car accident, it turned my world upside down she said, and I just never felt the same about anything again. She told me how she remembered the day that she went to the hospital after the accident, and Rob was comatose, she remembers speaking to the Doctor who told her that Rob was an organ donor, which she felt indifferent to at the time, the next day he died. However:
This would trigger another chain of events in this love story
Michael had lived in London all his life, and had been diagnosed with a heart defect at a young age, he got tired doing basic things, and medication helped for a while but the effects were starting to wear off, so he was put on a heart transplant list, days went by, and one day Michael was told that he had a heart, he went to the hospital and had surgery, he woke up a new man.
Slowly this love story was starting to make sense
As Micheal recovered, he wrote a letter to Helen’s family thanking them for the organ donation, and for giving him a second chance at life. Helen told me how it felt like it was Rob speaking to them, after some time exchanging letters, they agreed to meet in person. He drove up to Manchester to meet Helen and the rest of the family as she had moved back there. Helen said that initially she felt uncomfortable about it, but her family and boyfriend (at the time) showed Rob around Manchester and admitted that there was some sort of connection. They agreed to keep in touch over time.
So what happened next??
Helen and Michael saw each other infrequently, and by this time, Helen had broken up with her boyfriend. After Michael had graduated, he took one last trip to Manchester to see Helen, and she said it was at that time when she realised that she had feelings for him, the rest as they say is history, Helen said it was hard at first, but they soon worked things out and have been together ever since. The story ended, and I got off the train at my stop (which I almost missed), and remember just feeling so invigorated and alive, what a great story, and a great way to prove that people in London are truly sociable and you can have a conversation with them.
So this got me thinking….
Everyone must have at least one amazing story about love in their life, no matter how big or small something that perhaps you want to share with everyone in the world because it just makes you feel so good about life. Perhaps you have married your childhood sweetheart, or you are recently in a new relationship, so no matter how big or small your story is, come on London, leave a comment and tell me about it 🙂
Last weekend I went to my first Indian wedding and it was so nice and different.Venue and the weather were amazing and I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I didn’t wear sari but I fell in love with this dress.
There is one more reason I like summer- berries. Strawberries, blueberries are my favourite so I found this delicious recipe . In this recipe one more thing is important except berries-my other addiction chocolate .
Ingredients for 6 small pies or 1 bigger
250 g ground biscuits (Digestive)
80 g butter
400g white chocolate
200ml double cream
Melt butter and pour over the ground biscuits. Mix together and press into molds for pies. you can use 6 small moulds, or one big. The amount of ingredients will be sufficient for a thin crust. Place it in preheated oven at 180 degrees for 5 minutes.
The cream is very simple because you can do ganache. For this we need only two ingredients, chocolate and double cream . Chop the chocolate ,heat the cream to boiling point. Pour the cream over the chocolate and stir the chocolate until it’s melted.
Pour that into molds and put strawberries, blueberries and pistachio on the top
Favourite TapasPincho Since I tried tapas in Barcelona I didn’t believe that I’ll find something as much as good in London. But I was wrong. Pinch, Mediterranean tapas bar, is at the end of the row of quaint little shops and pubs that lines Church Street in Twickenham.
With big outdoor seating space, Pincho seems to be full every weekend for lunch and dinner.
We opted for chorizo a la blanch with flaming brandy, chicken skewers ,pork belly, damon croquettes and patatas bravas . It was so delicious it felt like we are back in Barcelona.Which wasn’t surprising because we found out that chef is actually from Barcelona 🙂
